The Challenge

Overview: One of the simplest but most impactful UX projects is designing a simple landing page with the sole purpose of converting visitors into signups or leads (a.k.a. grabbing visitors’ email addresses to sign up). YouGo is a website that provides motivational quotes, boosting tips, and an app to users to provide encouragement in their everyday lives.

Duration: 2 Months (2021).

Methods: Surveys, Interviews, Wireframes, Usability Test, Prototyping.

Tools: Figma, Usability Hub.

Problem Statement: YouGo needs a landing page that will encourage users to make an account with the website. As well as, advertise its new app that consists of the same features as the website.

Challenges

My biggest challenge was figuring out the content for the landing page. Since the landing page had to sell the website and the app, I spent a lot of time creating iterations that would provide the users with informative content to signing up. As well as, being displayed with visual appeal. This case study took less time than my other projects, but was equally as important.

What can be improved?

If the website/app application went into production, the landing page would benefit from being flexible to change over time.

What’s next?

UI is just as important and especially important for a landing page, which has a goal of selling a product to its users. Therefore, the content and images were important to me. If I completed a landing page for a product going out into production I would use these same techniques and I would love to expand it.
